The Pune chapter of Builders’ Association of India (BAI) will organise the 13th Well Built Structure Competition in the city on December 4.

An annual event in BAI’s calendar, the awards are given for construction excellence in different categories. “This year, the awards have been divided into four categories — residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructural buildings. We have also introduced a jury recommendation award,” event’s convenor Neelkanth S Joshi said.

For the first time, there is also a digital category of awards wherein participants from distant places can also apply. “The competition was initially restricted to 200-km radius from Pune city. Considering the response, we have introduced the separate category of digital entries which is for distant criteria from this year,” Joshi said.

The objectives of the competition are to promote quality, speed, economy, mechanisation and safety, and labour welfare activities at the construction site.

The jury has also introduced awards for interior designs, decoration and furniture from this year. The last date for entries is November 10. Forms are available at the BAI office.
